the stratemeyer syndicate
The Stratemeyer Syndicate was created by Edward Stratemeyer in the early years of this century (c. 1902 - no one is quite sure.) After Edward died (5/10/1930), his daughters, Harriet Stratemeyer Adams and Edna Stratemeyer, took over the business. Edna married and became an inactive partner in 1942. In the late 1980's, the Syndicate was sold to Simon & Schuster. List of Known Syndicate Authors
