The Goldsmith Publishing Company published all five volumes (©1932-1934) of this juvenile mystery & adventure series.
Goldsmith was located at 727 South Dearborn in Chicago, Illinois in the 1930s. Their colophon in some books also say Cleveland, Ohio, but it's unclear where their office was. From c. 1937 to 1939 they shared offices with M.A. Donohue Co. at 711 South Dearborn. They remained in business until the late 1930s and perhaps beyond. Goldsmith was mainly a reprint publisher which bought the printing plates of titles deemed no longer viable by their original publishers. Their editions are noted for their poor paper, inexpensive cloth bindings and usually low quality dust jacket art.
The cloth bindings are seen in various colors, there are two sizes, at first 7-5/8" x 5", later 8-1/8" x 5-5/8". Black cover & spine printing. None of the books have internal illustrations.
The full color dust jackets are on white coated paper and are different for each book. Volume 4, Circus Dan, was given new cover art for the later large style of binding.
