A product of the Stratemeyer Syndicate, the Bret King Mystery series was published by Grosset and Dunlap from 1960 through 1964 under the pseudonym of Dan Scott.
General consensus is that the books were written by Squire Omar Barker and possibly Andrew Svenson for volume 9.
Volumes 1 through 8 were issued in dustjackets.
Volume 9 was issued in picture cover (PC) format.
Volumes 1, 2, & 3 were reprinted in picture cover.
